I) I'm very fond of The Ambush Bug Stocking Suffer. Well, the first, good half. Back before page 22 or so. Lobo was fun too. Trencher broke the streak in a big, big way.
II) I dug the Killer Frost retrospective. I vastly prefer Louise Lincoln, since the misandry angle was seriously played out in the Bronze Age. It sounds like she's going to be Firestorm's Cheetah, a villain whose alter ego gets swapped out in each age, but consistently battles the same hero as an identity.
III) Goody! Somebody might finally explain the appeal of Dr. Fate beyond the costume!
IV) I've been a Captain Atom fan since 1987, and I doubt I can describe his powers any better than Shag. Probably one of his problems in reaching an audience is the same as those faced by magic-based characters like Dr. Fate-- ill defined parameters. They do whatever the writer needs them to that month.
V) Fewest bullet points ever, and half as many as last time's career low. Ever the contrarian...

Thanks for reading my e-mail on the air. Oddly enough I never considered the thing about Orm and Arthur's father favoring Arthur being in Orm's head. That makes a lot more sense and makes their father less of a jerk.

Great show as always. I enjoyed the Christmas talk quite a bit, especially the coverage you gave the JLA story. I recently covered that on my blog and thought it was a lot of fun. And you are absolutely right about Nick Cardy's art on that TEEN TITANS story. It was stunning.

Hope you and yours have a happy holiday!

I've been using wrestling terms (heel, jobber, etc.) for years. Glad to know I'm not the only one!
