DC Nation on Cartoon Network

sg
A big splashy promo for DC Nation, Cartoon Network's "block" of DC-centric programming, debuted last week during the premiere of Green Lantern.

You see a bunch of characters represented (including Plastic Man, which I am very excited about!), but no Aquaman--his only appearance is at the end, on this title card--nevertheless, pretty prominent placement!

Check out the video here, DC Nation debuts in 2012!

This looks fun, for the most part. Not keen on the Aardman claymation shorts, but many of the others looked good. I'd love to see B&B continue through shorts for this.

Caught this last night, and appreciated J'Onn J'Onzz getting into the promo mix, as well!

I have seen this as well, and am very much looking forward to it! Kept waiting for Aquaman to appear in the ad, and while he wasn't in the main ad, seeing him front and center on the title card did rock!

I keep waiting for DC to throw in the towell with the Green Lantern stuff. Even though I enjoy it it just seems like such an odd sell to the general public. The movie bombed, the toys are clogging up the shelf at every store, and now I can't help but find many flaws with this cartoon. Most people who aren't somewhat familiar with comics just don't get GL. This cartoon's CGI looks like it would've been cutting edge a few years ago....and then to have the whole 1 hour premiere involving Red Lanterns seems like it would just not interest the folks or their kids, just like the how the movie tied in the parrallax/yellow lantern stuff. This GL crap is setting back King Orin's chances of ever having a movie or cartoon.
