sg
A couple of dozen F.O.A.M.ers sent me this link to issue #196 of the online comic Gutters, by Ryan Sohmer and Jeff Zornow. As you might have guessed, its about Aquaman!

Thanks guys!

Be sure and read the post/article underneath the comics page! It's another converted Aquaman fan review!

I like the comments below the review that suggest Aquaman needs a beard to be a badass. First of all, the logic that beard = badass holds about as much water (heh!) as beard = homeless. Second, why do we need to characterize our heroes as "badass"? Why does that somehow validate them. When I think of a superhero being portrayed or characterized as a badass I think of a Marvel hero or somebody who appeals particularly to young teenagers, you know, like a Marvel hero. I'm okay with Punisher and Cable fans not liking Aquaman and vice versa; that's an area of partisanship I am all for!

Ryan-

I am totally on board with that. I am really tired of "bad ass" being synonymous with "cool", and any hero not "edgy" and violent is somehow considered lame.

That works for Wolverine, Batman, etc., but lets have a little diversity in our superheroes, for Neptune's sake!
