Aquaman #1 Release Event with Geoff Johns
Things are kicking into high gear this week and writer Geoff Johns will be promoting the new Aquaman series all over the place including a signing & release party at Beach Ball Comics in Anaheim CA! Since much of the Shrine's headquarters is based on the East Coast (although we have F.O.A.M.ers world-wide) we sadly will not be in attendance...

I didn't find out until the day after that Kurt Busiek was at a local comic shop (Beyond Comics) in Gaithersburg, MD on Saturday!

I'm from Nor Cal but moved to SoCal last week. I had a job interview with the owner of Beach Ball Comic's at his other store and only found out about the signing that day. So I trekked out to the other shop, BBC, for the signing last week. Thanks to the Shrine I discovered there was another signing at BBC and this time with Geoff Johns. I wore an Aquaman shirt to last week's signing (writers of Mister Terrific, Suicide Squad, and Grifter) and today I plan to wear my other Aquaman shirt. I'm guessing since I discovered the signing from the Shrine I didn't get the job at the comic shop. so much for my 6 years of experience working at a comic shop. Worst Interview Ever. just kidding :P I'll let y'all know how it goes.
