Aquaman in "Monty"

sg
Several F.O.A.M.ers sent in a link to the July 31, 2011 edition of the comic strip Monty, which as you can see features an appearance by an orange-shirted man from the sea.

I can't post the whole thing here without squeezing it down to Atom-ish size, so just head over to GoComics where you can see the whole strip!

Interesting. Why the "A" on the chest, tho? Odd.

I think the creator wasn't confident people would know it was Aquaman without the little help!

Funny, since he's never had an "A" on his chest...

Anyway, I sympathize with poor Arthur! My family's business was a seafood processing plant, and I had seafood pretty much constantly until I was old enough to say "Please, no more!" Hehe.

I love this strip! I remember looking at ROBOTMAN a few times years ago (which morphed into MONTY), but it didn't catch my attention then and may have been before I had a computer.

Now with the 'Net you can follow lots of strips.

I guess I only saw it when I looked at a Houston paper now and then.

I wish I had known about it sooner and follow it now on GoComics. Some days it is just SO clever!

He's got a mask, too. Or "Deadman" eyes, anyway. Possibly the changes are to keep DC legal off his back?

Anyway, Arthur might want to finish that meal before he gets too much deeper. Nothing worse than a soggy wiener.
