Aquaman Concept Sketch by Ed Benes

This concept sketch of Aquaman by Ed Benes comes from the collection of F.O.A.M.er Ivan Costa, who was generous enough to send it in to the Shrine.

This piece was done just before Benes started drawing the then-new Justice League of America series, written by Brad Meltzer. It ran in Wizard #174, but they omitted Benes' hand-written notation, which translates as "Good character! Let's see what Brad has in store for him".
