But that wasn't all! No, the brand-new Aquaman "Brightest Day" action figure by DC Direct also hit the shelves, as well!
Its a handsome figure--as virtually everything from DC Direct is--and of course its great to have another Classic Aquaman toy out there. And he comes with yet another trident to break and/or lose.
I completely forgot about this baby coming out, but F.O.A.M.er Russell Burbage didn't, and he was kind enough to snap a few pics of it to post here on the Shrine. Russell also added the Price is Right-esque "spokessharks", a touch I quite enjoy.

I really like this figure, but....I don't like his dark eyebrows. :-( I'm a fan of the blonde eyebrows. Dark eyebrows kind of creep me out and are not as asthetically (sp?) pleasing as blonde.

LOVE that figure - only thing that stopped me from getting it is the larger scale. Yeah, good job on the sharks!
Awesome figure. I wasn't planning on collecting the Brightest Day figures, but the more I look at Aquaman, as well as Mera, Hawkman, Deadman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl, well... They all look terrific. Might have to pick this up.
I have 5 comic stores near me, and only 1 of them had him left. When I got there, I got the last one. They all still had Deadman, GA, and Hawkgirl.
Emperor Aquaman was a sellout too. Go the last issue of that and the button..
Got swamped yesterday, so I'll be going to get my Emperor Aquaman and my new Brightest Day figure today. Woo-Hoo!
Quite a day, indeed! My wife stopped off and picked up FlashPoint #1 AND Emperor Aquaman #1 for me, including the Aquaman "A" pin and a Green Lantern pin. Great day!

FINALLY! Jeeze these were supposed to get released back in march.
So many stores in my area were sold out. All I wanted from the first series was Deadman & Aquaman and luckily the store that loves me held the last Aquaman. Deadman wasn't as popular for some reason but the fact that Aquaman was gone from so many stores speaks volumes to what's ahead for our king, I think.
If only the sharks came with - that would be actually pretty cool!
Love the line about the trident too - maybe there's a need for a spare parts toy Shop!
