I remember Hawkman and Hawkwoman joined for a few issues right around this time until finally Katar had enough and said, (paraphrasing) "Green Arrow was never this bad!" and stormed out.
So JD...yeah, I think it was probably pretty bad. :-)
Yeesh. I wouldn't have known, never read much JLI, it was too much like a sitcom parody of the actual Justice League for me. Looks like I fortunately missed out on LOTS of annoying scenarios that JLI seems to have featured.
I love the whole JII run from the late 80s/early 90s, and Aquaman's appearance there is great. Very easy to understand how he'd be annoyed by their antics as well.
First time I recall seeing Aquaman with longish hair. It made sense to me for him of all the classic DC guys to have long hair, as opposed to say...Superman!

I gave it a shot, JD - but that's how they read to me, too. With BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS, one of those early unnecessary reboots that just_didn't_work.

Was this the very beginning of the Angry Aquaman years?
I'm guessing part of the early JLI run. Looks like from the Beetle/Booster Kooey Kooey Kooey island fiasco maybe? Not 100% sure, though...
Orin's Dad--Yep, that's it. I love those issues.
I did too. They were just fun stuff. Thanks for clarifying rob!
Is that Max? Aquaman could have offed him and saved a lot of problems later on.
@ r duncan - Yeah, really. ;)
Aquaman looks like such a bitter sourpuss here, hangin' out with the JLI couldn't have been THAT bad, could it?

I actually enjoyed that series for the Aquaman appearances alone. (One of the very few times I willingly read Aquaman tales sans Garth).

What does it say, if anything, that the RPOTDs now routinely draw way more comments than the regular daily posts?
