Aqua-Sighting - Heiler Family Edition

sg
This great shot is of F.O.A.M.er Brian Heiler's kids outside Comic Book Addiction, a comics store in Whitby, Canada.

Not only is Brian's son staring up at a giant-size Aquaman, he's (as you might have guessed from the color) wearing a Brave and the Bold tee that has Aquaman on it!

I love this picture.

Agreed - that's awesome. I can totally imagine a Norman Rockwell-style illustration of this image with the little kids looking up at their bigger-than-life idols. (Party 'cause Alex Ross based his own painting on one of Rockwell's pictures.)

The kids were jazzed to be on the Aquaman Shrine this morning. I get to drive by this fun mural almost every day, not a bad commute.

Now that, to me, is how to draw people into a comic book store: large, attention-capturing portraits of iconic heroes in their classic forms. If that doesn't bring in new customers off the street, I'm not sure what would. Great pic, Brian!

Such a great shot! You can't really see the kids faces, but based upon their pose, you can just imagine the awe and inspiration on their faces. The size of the Alex Ross painting in proportion to the kids just screams idol worship (in a good way).

As a comic reader and a parent myself, this shot is just uplifting.

Great pic!
