Young Justice Happy Meal Figures

sg
Courtesy inaugural F.O.A.M. member Chris Franklin comes this link to the Superman Homepage site which features a sneak peek at the upcoming line of Young Justice Happy Meal toys--including Aqualad and Black Manta!

Wow, after going decades without action figure representation, Black Manta is catching up with a vengeance--this is his second Happy Meal toy alone in less than a year!

Thanks for the link Chris!

Very cool! Too bad Aquaman didn't make this cut. But hey, can't be unhappy with two Aqua-figures out of the eight.

And how long has it been since ANY Aqualad figure was in a Happy Meal-type promotion?

I'll pick these up, but there's nothing I find more embarrassing than asking the confused, aloof McDonald's girl for a specific happy meal toy. I thought hunting the last batch would be the death of me.

But HEY, looks like Manta's gonna be coming up in Young Justice!

I can't stand McD's, but will probably have to hit it at least twice to get these toys (for Orin's sake, of course...lol). I think it's awesome that the Aqua family is so well represented in this run!

@David: and they usually bring you the wrong one at least once. The process is probably easier for a Batman or Superman fan... :)

Seems like not that long ago, DC writers were trying to dump the name "Aqualad" like it was the plague.

Now "Aqualad" has his own McDonald.s action figure.

Go figure.

@Brent--yeah, last time I really thought "the guy in the orange shirt" would be sufficient, but invariably come back with their hands full of whatever they had. What about the Batmobile says 'guy in the orange shirt' to you?

@R Duncan--comics got way too serious in the early 90s and suddenly lad and lass names were too corny. When I started reading comics Lightning Lad and Shadow Lass were Live Wire and... ugh... Umbra. Now, thankfully, irony is in and everybody loves a bit of corniness, hence expanded Lantern Corps, Super-, Aqua- and Bat-families, Red Hulks, Wolverine's clone-kids, evil red lantern house cats...
