Aquaman Stock Art on Zazzle

sg
sg
F.O.A.M.er Shag Matthews sent a bunch of us character bloggers a link to Zazzle, an online merch site that now carries Justice League brand items, including a lot of solo Aquaman stuff!

Most of the items feature pieces of stock art that we've all seen before, the great work by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. But I also spied these two pieces above, which I are new to me!

I can't be 100% positive, but they look like the work of Jerry Ordway to me. His iconic style fits perfectly for use as stock art, as these pieces will attest. (Note: beware the Aquaman "Twisted Innocence" stuff. Yeesh.)

Great tip, thanks Shag!

Aquaman also pops up a lot in the Super Powers, Comic Covers, and DC Originals Patterns categories.

It´s really sad that Aquaman has never had a more recognizable version than the black undies one. It seems to be the only one people think of when they think Aquaman. The Aquaman of like 100 years ago.

Nice art, though :)

Definitely Jerry Ordway. He seemed to get a handful of DCU stock art-based assignments in the very early Eighties.
