I was flattered to be a guest judge this time around, and Great Neptune were there some amazing new takes on Aquaman on display. Go check it out!

Cool rob!

This contest had a huge web presence (making me wonder why their secret is about getting the word out on their projects...)!

I am however surprised by the winning redesign(which rocks!), but strikes me as very similar to Aquaman's current look with only minor modifications.

Congrats to everyone who participated and all the press the Sea King garnered from ProjectRooftop!

I had to go back and re-read the opening paragraph, cause somehow I missed that you were a judge! How cool!

I loved some, others were just okay. But what I love the most is that this contest happened at all! Awesome!

None of the partner sites that were playing along with PR seem to have updated yet.

What fun to look at and read! Got some real chuckles out of the judges' comments. Love the observation that 2nd place is "Gold Key" Aquaman; totally get it! 3rd place looks Substitute Legionnairey to me; the Izaakse design really works for me; I'll take the Rankin-Bass outfit (good catch there, rob!) to wear home, please. Great contest.

This was pretty awesome, altho WOW that's a lot of judges. I ended up reading only Rob's comments. :)

I did really like the idea of moving the "A" up top, but hated the duck feet.

Hey Rob, it's Joe D! from Borders!

When I first saw this contest I was wondering if you were aware of it, but had no idea how to contact you, imagine my surprise when I found out you were actually judging it!

On another note, a few years ago you mentioned sending in a draft to D.C. for Aquaman, did anything come of that?
