I think Batman was trying to take the slot of Aquaman's one solo title in DC's release schedule for a 20th Bat-family book.
My son and I were just reading this comic the other day.
In fact, B&B #142 inspired us to have a Batman vs Aquaman week on our blog. Just don't know if we are doing it in November or December.
