DC Super Friends Imaginext Cartoon

sg
sg
These are still shots from an amazing, full-length cartoon starring characters from the DC Super Friends line that is up on the Fisher-Price website. The credits--both fore and aft--are a spot-on tribute to the classic Super Friends theme song, with the story in between being more of the JLU/Brave and the Bold variety.

Despite his appearance in the credits, Aquaman does not appear in the main show; but neither does Wonder Woman or Robin, so I guess the three of them were off having another adventure...

This link was sent to me by F.O.A.M.er Joe Mello, who is great at catching all this stuff. Thanks Joe!

My son and I watched together, and we liked it. I hope they do more of these, and that Aquaman, Wonder Woman, etc, appear in the future!

And yeah, sometimes I just stumble on the coolest things. Usually weird stuff, but awesome things slip in now and then! hahaha

I must confess, I did not catch this. Will it be an ongoing show? That would be way cool! (Especially if they add lots of Aquaman!)

Semper Aqua~!

This is fanTASTIC! I wonder how long it's been online? Aquaman on the giant sea turtle in the opening is just about the coolest thing I've ever seen.

The Joker's Playhouse is one of the AWESOMEST toys I've ever seen! It has sorely tempted me! What kinda sucks though is that the Imaginext line is just another Batman line. There's a small Superman/Krypto set and a Green Lantern Jet (which appears in this short) but the rest... nonexistent unless they have more on the way. And Robin wears a more modern costume, not the classic suit he's wearing in the credits. Considering Wonder Woman never appeared in any of the Super Friends merch from the older, larger, chunky figures, I doubt she'll appear in this line.

Toys R Us had literature that stated this series would be released on DVD soon. Most of the character designs for this appeared to be based on the new DC Super Friends line of Hero World Toys that are exclusive to Toys R Us. This portion of the line only has Superman, Batman, Joker, Penguin, and Mr. Freeze included so far.
