Wired Magazine - Jan. 2008

sg
During a mutual trip to All Things Fun, F.O.A.M.er George Rears handed me this page from the January 2008 issue of Wired magazine, featuring a review of the (then) new book, The DC Comics Action Figure Archive.

For many years, when a bunch of DC heroes were used to represent a particular item, Aquaman was rarely picked. Luckily for us Aqua-Fans, that's been changing, and in this instance its nice to see Aquaman get such prominent placement in a major magazine (with Superman nowhere to be seen!).

Great catch George, and thanks!

That's a very striking design for the page. I like it!

I have a pet theory that one of the reasons Aquaman *looks* so cool is that against an ocean blue background, orange (blue's opposite) really stands out. You can see here that they went with that design for both Arthur AND Bruce, and the result speaks for itself. Nice!
