"Tex Willer" Cards - 1970s

sg
A couple of months ago, I posted a bunch of these unusual little items--"Tex Willer" cards (still not sure why they're called that), which were produced in either Argentina or Brazil as promotional giveaways.

The coloring and printing on these is pretty rough, and all the lettering has obviously been redone. Maybe that's what makes them so charming...

I've never seen these for sale on eBay, ever, so they must be pretty rare. I'd love to have the whole set, if anything just to see how much of the original story (from an issue of Adventure Comics) they were able to tell in this abbreviated form!

Like the first batch, these hard-to-find babies were sent to me by F.O.A.M.er Tommy "Bat-Blog" Brookshire. Thanks Tommy!

Hi, These cards are made in the Philippines during the 1970s and were played by Filipino kids. I used to have these cards but lost them while I was growing up.
