Aquaman on The Family Guy - 2010

sg
As many F.O.A.M. members have pointed out to me, Aquaman made another appearance on The Family Guy last Sunday, in an episode titled "Quagmire's Dad."

In a flashback, Peter recalls his childhood hero, Aquaman, who also hung out in the water as his alter ego, Arthur Curry. Its a funny, kind of sweetly nostalgic sequence.

You can watch the episode on Hulu here--its about four minutes into the show. Thanks to everybody for the tip!

I liked it. One of the rare times he appeared where they weren't mocking something, just making a fun little joke.

I was more impressed with his alter ego of Arthur Curry getting some play here.

Family Guy actually seems to show Aquaman more love than any other Super hero. Seriously, I don't think ANY other comic book character has gotten as much play. I can only recall one episode where he was really mocked... they did a bit about how useless he was outside of water. But Batman, Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Spider-Man... very little play compared to Aquaman. He's practically a regular! Must be a fan on the writing staff. Maybe Seth McFarland himself! If Mr. McFarland is reading this, you should seriously consider a "Noggle Stones" reference for your next crazy non-sequitur! I'd even be grateful for one on "American Dad!"
