This pic was taken at the 2008 SpringCon in St. Paul, Minnesota, and here's what Cole had to say about it: "[Ashley] and I put about 22 hours into putting together this Aquaman costume, and it was a big hit." I'll bet!
Aquaman and Batgirl make quite the handsome couple (Arthur always has had a thing for redheads). Thanks for the pic Cole, and welcome to F.O.A.M.!

awesome job on the Aquaman costume! and he's a brave man for bringing his girlfriend in that Batgirl costume. you just know there were plenty of fanboy eyes all over her LOL
wow. Just....wow. Awesome job, Cole and Ashley. Dude, if she enjoyed doing this then you gotta marry her, cause she's a keeper!!! :-)
BTW, I went to school in St. Paul and there were NO conventions there when I was in college. I'm jealous.
I'm not seeing Aquaman in that picture...
...oh yeah, great costume!
Chris :-)
Wow - BOTH costumes are amazing! Great stuff!!!
That is fantastic! I THINK this is the only time I've ever seen actual scales on an Aquashirt! Wonder what they're made of!
Thanks for the great comments guys! The scales are actually made out of basketball material that we found at Jo-Ann Fabrics. It had a good orange color to it, and the bumps kinda fit the scaly look we were going for. I have to get back into Aqua-shape so I can fit in the costume again though!
Thanks for the nice comments everyone. It took my 33 hours to sew that top so I appreciate the good words.
I want to do Mera for our Fall convention and we can go as an actual comic book couple. :)
That has got to be THE BEST Aquaman costume I've ever seen. The attention to detail is amazing. It's also cool that the Batgirl costume is the TV series version which I always thought was the best. Great job on both costumes!
Two of my favorite heroes in their 2 greatest costumes--fantastic.
That is the best Aquaman costume I've laid eyes on.. and the Babs version of Batgirl! Nice!
