Super Heroes Gym Bag

This very obscure item--a Super Heroes gym bag--was sent to me by F.O.A.M.er Jon Knutson, part of a whole list of Aqua-Stuff from his Flickr stream.

There's only this one photo, so we don't know what's on the other side, but you'd have to assume its Superman and Batman--there's no way they made a separate gym bag with just WW and Aquaman on it...right? Right?

All I know is, if I had this as a kid, I would've carried my comics in it instead of sports equipment, the exact opposite use it was meant for.

Thanks Jon!

Update: F.O.A.M.er John Lijewski III sent me some pics of the opposite side of the gym bag, and my guess was correct:
As F.O.A.M.er Joe Mello remarked in the comments, I bet this side got a lot more "play" than the Wonder Woman and Aquaman one.

Mystery solved, thanks John!

Wow! Major flashback with this. I had one when I was a kid. I do think there was Superman & Batman on the other side.
It was a really strong bag, and not that big.
I remember coloring some of it with crayons.

How many kids carried it with the WW/Aquaman side facing inwards, so as to just show the other, "cooler" side?

Why don't they make this sort of thing NOW? You know everyone here would buy atleast one of these; maybe two.

That bag is totally cool! I would love to have one now. I agree with Russell, they need to start making these again...

That is adorable! The thing I associate the most with going to the gym and working out is the Super Friends.

It surprises me that Robin wasn't lumped in with Batman, or took Aquaman or Wonder Woman's spot. Very seldom did Batman appear on merchandise without Robin before 1989.

That thing is beyond cool.
