Wal-Mart Aquaman and Black Manta Repaints

sg
F.O.A.M.er Christopher Rees sent me a link to a post on ToyNewsI.com, featuring photos of a Wal-Mart-exlcusive Aquaman and Black Manta two-pack, featuring the DC Universe figures repainted in gold and blue, respectively.

To me, the Aquaman one is meh, but I actually really like Manta--he looks just like he did in the Challenge of the SuperFriends show, which = awesome.

Thanks Christopher!

I prefer my "blue suit" Aquaman that I got from Target (which looks identical, minus the paint job, of coure) but I don't have a Black Manta figure, and the Aquaman one does look pretty slick.

I might have to pick this up if I find it.

Oh action figures, will I ever outgrow thee?

Are these available now? Cause if they are, I need to get myself to Wal-Mart.

Airship Over Water guy, I have an extra DCU Black Manta if you need him. Contact me off-board if you want.

Rob, like you I love that Black Manta figure (and am so-so on Aquaman). The down-side is I can't stand Wally-World. Hmmm...will have to think hard on this one to decide what to do...

That Manta repaint is nice stuff, but man am I hoping for Mera and Garth in this line before it winds down... And a Fisherman and Ocean Master, but maybe that's hoping for too much.

I agree, Rob, the Aquaman is just sorta ok, but Manta is all sorts of awesome. With that said, I would probably pick this set up if the price was right.

Nice tan Aquaman!

See, that's commitment for you, a character known to depend on water who is willing to take one for the sake of looks, heh.

Seriously, manta got the better deal here, the gold paint looks fine but ain't working here IMO, or unless you are a devoted collector.
