Brave and the Bold Valentines

sg
sg
I always try to have something Valentine's Day-related every Feb.14th (or, in this case, Feb. 15th), but as this year's date approached, I didn't have anything particularly appropriate.

But then F.O.A.M.er Joe Huber stepped up, and sent me scans of two different sets of Brave and Bold Valentines sets. This set features, as it states, 34 cards and 35 stickers, and these are the ones that feature Aquaman.

I've said it before, but man do I love that Aquaman is such a huge part of the Brave and the Bold merchandising juggernaut. After so many years of seeing him shoved aside in favor of Flash and/or Green Lantern, its great seeing him on nationally-distributed products like these. I can only hope there are lots of little Aqua-Fans out there, giddy with joy over receiving a valentine with Aquaman on it.

Joe actually sent me a second, altogether different set of valentines, but I'm saving them for next year's Valentine's Day! Thanks Joe!

Ah, I love these. If I had ever gotten an Aquaman Valentine from someone as a kid, I'd have been pretty psyched. Kids today have it too easy!

The content you post here is staggering, Rob! People never believe me when I say there's an Aquaman blog that updates with new brand new merch and sitings and reviews every single day (and sometimes mulitple times) but here you are! Dunno how you do it, but I'm grateful!

PS: Do Valentine cards not have love puns on them anymore? Maybe kids today have it too hard...

These are awesome. I'm going by the grocery store on my way home from work in the hopes of getting these and the others you spoke of (with moving pictures?) for half-off. :-)

But let's hope next year there will be a brand new set. :-)

I got one of these Aquaman Valentine's this year. Check out how it was customized for me by a friend:

David-
The reason I'm able to find so much to post is because of you guys! Some days I get so much stuff I can't even get to it all.

Plus, the fact that I'm able to post something Aqua-related every day for over four years to me only underscores how pervasive Aquaman is in the culture.

Russell-
I saw them yesterday at CVS, already for half-off, so you should have no problem!

Shag-
I don't think Batman would ever use the word "douchebag", but other than that... :)

My son took lenticular B&B valentines to school on Friday. He was the only kid who had them, so they were quite popular!

Aquaman included of course!

I got the pencil set for my students, they actually knew who the characters were, which was cool.

In my recent travels I've seen the Easter Egg decorating kits also. I won't be buying those though...

I just got into this show over the last weekend. I went through the three discs that are out on DVD since I don't have cable. What a great and fun show. Aquaman is definitely a highlight. I'm severely tempted to pick up some of the little Action League figures as I like those more than the bigger "hole in shoulder" BatB figurs.
