Aqua T-Shirts, Part 1

Happy New Year, everybody!

I thought to kick off 2010 I'd start a new feature, inspired by F.O.A.M. member extraordinaire Russell Burbage.

For a while, Russell's been gently chiding me over the Shrine's general lack of coverage regarding the sheer volume of Aquaman t-shirts there are out there. I can't give you a reason for that, it just sort of shook out that way.

But Russell wasn't satisfied by that, so, like any good, industrious Aquaman fan, he went and took photos of about a dozen different shirts--all from his personal collection--and sent them to me, complete with mini-description of each.

That was a few months ago, and I'm ashamed it took me this long to get to them. So I thought we'd make this a (semi)weekly event every Friday until we're caught up--and why not start on the first day of the new year?

So the above is the first installment, featuring an attractive grid design, featuring mostly stock poses by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (although the Aquaman shot is by Eduardo Baretto).

As we will with every one of these posts, here's what Russell had to say about it: "Then recently I found the 'talking heads' design that features Aquaman front and center. Just had to have that one!"

More to come, and thanks Russell!

Wow, thanks for featuring this today. I'm having a terrible morning but this made me smile. Maybe the year isn't off to such a bad start after all...?

yes, this is something I intend to rectify this year, as well. I need an Aquaman T-shirt! Or two, even :)

I saw this one at Sears a month or so ago. Might have to head out today to pick it up. There are a lot of Aqua tees available now. I found quite a few here: http://www.popfunk.com/search.aspx?cID=789
They even have an Aqualad shirt.

I was also lucky enough to nab the Aqua Hoodie for 29.99 in a Black Friday sale.

Joe, I really liked that site! I'm gonna have to buy my daughter that Super Heroine t-shirt that features MERA!!!

BTW, I found most of my on-line stuff at a site called www.superherostuff.com

Sorry to hear the day/year is starting off bad, glad I could (accidentally) do a little something about it!

You got an AquaHoodie? Please make sure to send in a pic!

Cool shirt Russell! I have several aqua-shirts (including an Aqua-hoodie I got for Christmas; pics forthcoming soon Rob), but haven't seen that one yet. Will have to keep an eye out for it. Love the website Joe! Will be buying from them soon!
