Mera Bust by DC Direct - 2009

sg
Behold--the Mera bust!

This beauty was waiting for me when I stopped in for my weekly visit at All Things Fun, on top of all the other cool stuff I picked up this week.

For those of you who missed it, this pricey item was part of the birthday extravaganza perpetrated on me by a gaggle of F.O.A.M. members, led by Russell Burbage. This (and an Aquaman one) were advertised earlier in the year, but the price tag kept me from ordering them. But thanks to Russell and the others' generosity, its now sitting right above the spot where I'm typing this!

Usually, because I'm such a bad photographer, I go and find stock shots of new Aqua-product, but this piece is so cool (and how I got it even cooler) that I thought it deserved the effort of some custom pics.

So I took Mera down to the lake down the street--on a beautifully breezy, sunny day--and snapped some shots:

Its a beautiful piece, well designed by Terry Dodson and well produced (of course) by DC Direct. I can't wait to get the matching Aquaman one--they're going to make great bookends for my DVD shelf.

I absolutely love it--thanks again guys!

Aquaman totally wins in the spouse department.

With that at home, how did Arthur turn into such a brooding putz!

That's a fine bust!

Beautiful! Enjoy!

And bravo to DC for not releasing yet another WW or Supergirl item and going a little deeper into their properties for this sweet Mera bust.

She's a beauty, alright! This is a wonderful representation of one of my all-time favorite comic heroines. You're a lucky guy, Rob. Enjoy!

Really great looking item. What I don't understand is why the retro style short hair? I don't recall ever seeing Mera with anything other than long flowing red hair.

Luis-

she actually does have long air, its just the way it curves you can't see it in the pics. i never even noticed that until you mentioned it!
