Justice League Rubb'r•Niks Catalog Ad - 1967

This super-rare catalog ad for the Justice League Rubb'r•Niks figure set was sent to me by F.O.A.M. member Steve Fink. Thanks Steve!

I've talked about this set before, but unfortunately I only own the single Aquaman figure. The only time I've seen the set for sale was on eBay once, going for an astronomical amount--a couple of grand, if I remember correctly.
As you can see, the final figures aren't quite as sharp looking as they are in the catalog, which is the first time that's ever happened in the history of merchandising products, I'm sure.

At first, it seems a little surprising to see Aquaman included, since this was pre-Super Friends. But when this set was produced, Arthur had his own Filmation cartoon show, so he was appearing on a lot of products at the time!

Love the surprised look on all their faces! hahahaha

Checked out the links from the previous commenter. That is something "Elseworld"-ian. Interesting.
