Spiral Notebook - 2008

sg
This handsome spiral notebook (made up of three separate pieces of Jose Luis Garcia Lopez stock art) was sent to me F.O.A.M. member John Lijewski III. Thanks John!

John said he picked it up at Target--my local store must get different stuff, because I never see any of these "DC Originals" products around. (I'd love to know the sales figures for stuff like this, and how well the Aquaman items sell in relation to the others)

Interesting to note--on the background image, it kinda looks like Batman is riding on Aquaman's back. Maybe they're under water.

I've never seen any of this DC Original stuff, either, and I've been trying to keep my eyes open for it! And this notebook looks really nice, too! (sigh)

The only school supply thing I ever found with Aquaman on them were Justice League Unlimited Folders. Have you seen these, Rob?
Let me know if you want a scan of it/them (can't remember how many had Aquaman on them...atleast one for sure)

One of my students had this yesterday along with another one featuring Bats, Supes, and Flash.

Needless to say I was a bit jealous and wanted one, but she said that she got the last one. Luckily there are three in my area. I sense a Target trip for my weekend fun.

Sweet, I'm off to Target! Though our Targets haven't had much of anything DC related lately.

It does look like Batman is riding Aquaman "Faster fish man, we'll never reach the (insert dangerous situation here) in time!"

Very nice! I never saw this either. Would have scooped up a few. Guess I need to scan Target more often. Love it!

Comments like "it kinda looks like Batman is riding on Aquaman's back" can only inspire homo-erotic slash fiction. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

This image of Aquaman swimming is obviously the source of the one that appears just above the words "the aquaman shrine" in your site's "letterhead" (or whatever it's called. Aside from the grimace, the latter is practically a tracing of the former.

Rob and everyone,
the date on the post is 2008.
Are these no longer available?
If that is the case, don't anybody rush off to Target without yesterday's time machine.

G'day folks!

Think yourselves lucky! Do you know how hard it is to get hold of any unusual/cool aqua-merch here in Australia? Don't start me on our Target stores...

They are still at Target. I found a folder with him on it also. They also had lenticular Wonder Woman journals right next to it. The notebooks were 1.99, the folders were .99 and the journals were 4.99

Russell-

No, I never seen any JLA folders, at least not ones with Aquaman on them!

I echo what Joe says. I stopped by one of my Targets on the way home from work and bought myself AND my daughter one of these. They also have a JLA (Flash, Supes, Bats, Artie) folder I bought a few of.
:-) So check your Targets soon...you may be pleasantly surprised.

Shopping trip ahead... Did you see the faded JLA T-shirt that Target is selling? Oversized JLA figures moving left to right?
