This is one of two 3-D Valentine's Day cards I found on eBay a few months ago. I assume they were part of a larger set, and for all I know there may be more than two (I'm saving the other for next Feb. 14th) Aquaman ones.
Drawn by the Big G, this card pops out on the bottom so that it can rock slightly back and forth, a cute little effect. And of course Aquaman looks majestic on his steed, followed by the nice, Valentine's Day sentiment.
How could any potential sweetheart say no to this card?

Rob,
I could be wrong, but I believe that Aquaman valentine comes from a huge (dare I say almost tabloid-sized) Valentine punch-out book from the late 70s/early 80s. I had that book two years and a row and its full of awesome DG artwork, most of it original to the book. I have only a few of the punchout cards left now though. Sigh.

...yes, please do!
Yes, Chris is right. I had that book, too. I eventually popped out the Aquaman valentines and discarded (!) the rest. I know, I know...."Youth is wasted on the wrong people." There were also paper valentines that were also by DG, and one I remember distinctly featured Arthur and Mera.
Yeah, parts of the book were thick card stock, others were just paper. I remember a Robin and Batgirl Valentine as well. The Mera one does ring a bell.
Funny thing was, I haven't thought about this book for years until today, even though I still have a few parts of it around...somewhere.
Chris
I, too, think I have mine around somewhere....I'll have to go home and find them. :-)
