Super Amigos Sticker Album Part 1 - 1985

sg
I love this stuff!

Courtesy newest F.O.A.M. member Ramiro, this is the first of a whole slew of Super Amigos Sticker Album pages.

Ramiro sent me an email directing me to
Amos Del Retro, a site featuring foreign versions of American toys. There I found a couple of massive downloads featuring all the various Super Powers sticker album pages featuring all the stars of the DCU, including of course the King of the Seven Seas.

One of the most interesting things I found though were the breadth of DCU characters represented here, characters that never made it into the toyline itself--you've got The Atom, Kid Flash, The Changeling, Air Wave(!), and Manhunter(!!).

Even more unusual is that not all of it is done by top merchandising artist Jose Luis Garcia Lopez--the Dr.Fate and Manhunter pieces are right from the comics drawn by Walt Simonson!

Like I mentioned above, I have a whole bunch of these pages so they'll be popping up here regularly. I'm so glad I got a chance to see this stuff, thanks and welcome to F.O.A.M. Ramiro!

That's so awesome. I too, love that stuff!

I was just looking at some Super Amigos stuff I have.

This is great though, can't wait to see the rest.

Super Amigos!

Seeing this gave me a flashback to when the stickerbooks were the rage in the US. I vividly remember Topps doing football and baseball sticker books!

Fun stuff here.

Can't quite make it out, but that's not a standard image of Firestorm either.

Thanks again for sharing!

The Cyborg piece features art from his original Who's Who entry. Does Plastic Man have yellow bands on his sleeves? If so, that's new.

I too love foreign stuff like this. It's usually so more unique and inventive than the US stuff of the last 25 years.

Thanks Rob and Ramiro!

Super Amigos are pretty great, but damn them for fixating on the Simonson Manhunter. Double damn DC for being triflin' when it comes to that moniker...
