Boy, have I been here.
What do you do as a graphic designer when you've been assigned the task of putting ad together for a book, but have absolutely no art to use?
Well, you dust off the trusty, old-school "Just Imagine!" tagline from the Ira Schnapp days, fill the rest with text, and hope for the best.
Actually, I think this half-page ad ain't that bad, considering whoever designed it was given absolutely nothing to work with. I feel your pain!

That's interesting. I love an ad from the late 70's claiming that The Atom is one of the mightiest heroes of our time.
Even if it doesn't have artwork.

Hey, Good is good!
Happy Holidays,

Ahem...
Excuse me? Atom goes back in time, meets Alexander Graham Bell, then the story viciously maligns a perfectly innocent historic figure (another guy who happened to have invented the telephone at the same time as Bell and whom Bell beat to the U.S. Patent office by literally hours to claim the first legitimate patent on the telephone)...?
*I* think that's pretty frickin' mighty!

Of course that's frickin mighty! By the late 70's The Atom was already being well phased out, so stuff such as this is nice to see.
My grievance has been filed.
