DC Super Heroes Activity Book by Golden Books Part 2 - 1980

sg

These were the two places where Aquaman got to participate in the fun and games of the DC Super Heroes Acitvity Book, mentioned yesterday.

For the first piece, you have to help Aquaman figure out what's wrong with the picture, and in the second you have to "Help Aquaman" who seems paralyzed with fear around a shark, which is very un-Aquaman like behavior.

Wow, the Scarecrow. He didn't get much licensing action until BTAS.

You know when Jerry Ordway was told to draw Aquaman fearing a shark he was like "C'mon! Did you people even crack open a comic before you started this"! :-D

Put Aquaman out of a shark infested kiddie pool before he drowns....

(Just wait to you get to the later pages, where Superman defeats the villians with his mighty "wrap-them-in-a-red-cellophane-S-emblem" powers!)

I don't know, but the top picture looks pretty normal for a typical day in the sea kingdom... post office box, swiming birds, fish with funny glasses check, wait a minute it's not lunch time! Get him Aquaman!

Why is it that people who work on merchandise related projects for comic books seem to have never read one. Even as far back as the TV show Adventures of Superman when in one episode they said that one of his powers was the ability to split himself in two and when I read that the creator of the Batman show admited that he never read a comic book till he was asked to produce it. Oh Boy!
