I hope you'll forgive me for a little bit of shameless self-promotion, since today, February 15th, is the one-year anniversary of my fan site gone wild, treasurycomics.com. TC was something I had always wanted to get to, and finally one wintery February day in 2006, I sat down and put the whole thing together.Not too long after posting it, I got all kinds of positive responses from people (read: guys) who said they loved those old treasury/tabloid books, too, and appreciated my site. Since then I've found lots of new material, plus landed some interviews with the creative folks behind the books. It was the site's big success that helped me get inspired to do my other online efforts like The Shrine, All in Black & White for 75 Cents, etc. Through these wondeful distractions I've met some great people--some in person, some virtually--that I never would have met before, and had experiences I never would have had, either, and my life is richer because of them. All that coming from a website about over-sized comic books.
So for the occasion I thought I'd create something I wished DC had done: an Aquaman edition of their treasury-sized series, Limited Collectors' Edition. I'm not surprised Aquaman never got one--Wonder Woman, Flash, or Green Lantern didn't either--but I can't help feel a little disappointed. So with the help of Chuck Patton and Dick Giordano's beautiful Aquaman piece for Who's Who #1, some cutting and pasting...great minnows! An Aquaman treasury comic!

Nice work! I do, however, feel compelled to tell you that the artwork is by Chuck Patton, with only the inks by Dick Giordano. It was my favorite "poster piece" of Aquaman for years.
