DC Direct Boxed Set - 2001

sgHere is another beautiful piece, courtesy DC Direct--an action figure boxed set featuring Aquaman, Aqualad, his sea-horse, his trident, and even a wave-of-water base to pose them on!

As nice as the figures are (they have unbelievably happy looks on their faces), I find it's the packaging that really sells it--this is a beautifully designed box. Of course, like the fool I am, I actually bought two so I could open one and leave one like this. Why am I broke most of the time, again?

I've been looking for one (or 2) of these for a while. The prices seem to be coming down to my level lately.

By the way, I know what you mean about being broke. I bought the JLA set so I could have the yellow gloved version of this figure.

its a very nice package indeed. I came in too late in the game to see this at my LCS.

Just watch those ankleson these figures. They are extremely fragile. I broke my Aqulad just trying to pose him in a swimming position.

A beautiful set though.

Hey if your community kicked you out over your eye color you'd be fragile too!

When I bought my set, I brought a non comic collecting friend with me. He took one look at it and said "What's with the ambigously gay duo?" He really ruined that you for me.....
