What's there to say? Another beautifully iconic shot of the stars of the DCU courtesy Jose Luis Garcia Lopez.
As usual, I wish Aquaman was a little more prominent (behind Plastic Man? Really?), but there's a lot of heroes to fit in the space, so I can't be too upset.
I can't recall some of the characters depicted here--like Mary Marvel, Raven, and Changeling--ever making it onto any American merchandise.

And what's wrong with him sharing the spotlight with Plastic Man? Just kidding! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis was shortly after Plastic Man's TV series, so he got a little boost from that mabye.
ReplyDeleteMan, this just screams "MY DC" to me. The pinnacle of the pre-Crisis, pre-angst DCU.
Chris
I'm a little bit country, and I'm a little bit rock & roll. I like Garcia-Lopez and the purity of Pre-Crisis DC, and I like Munoz-influenced Keith Giffen with a side of Post-Crisis complexity. I'd say this is "my DC" too, but the beginning rather than the end (meaning "Identity Crisis.")
ReplyDeleteMan, Batgirl has better placement than the Sea King......that's a shame. Still, you just can't help but love Garcia-Lopez's work!
