I grew up in a small rural town in Eastern Washington state. We had a Sears and Pennys and Woolworth and such but with a smaller population they stocked the more popular toys like GI Joe and Johnny West to greater degree. I had the Flash Gordon set but no Cap and a friend had Cap but no uniforms and one other friend had Batman and the figure. Other than that I don't remember seeing much beyond that.

Craig S
AstroJoe62ifeaworldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18267795915517106993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35995922.post-42871300816782371792012-01-13T11:12:53.497-05:002012-01-13T11:12:53.497-05:00Joseph, CA was not only not just regional - he was...Joseph, CA was not only not just regional - he was International!

And, the FIRST superhero action figure, to boot.

-Craig W.wich2noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35995922.post-32023527868143828952012-01-13T09:33:49.921-05:002012-01-13T09:33:49.921-05:00I think Captain action and Action boy are the best...I think Captain action and Action boy are the best action figures that came out. Joes, the original Mego superhero dolls, the Six Million Dollar Man, Barbies--but the Shrine is the first place I'd ever heard of Captain Action.Joseph Brian Scottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35995922.post-57529856702896488672012-01-11T17:08:41.981-05:002012-01-11T17:08:41.981-05:00I really need an Aqualad costume for my Action Boy...I really need an Aqualad costume for my Action Boy. It took me 20 years to get one and a little longer to get the Aqualad costume but it finally joined my collection.
