That sort of thing happened to me on a lot of games, but thankfully not DC Heroes.

And another vote for the Atlas, Shag...Siskoidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08266365376486695812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35995922.post-39194416133589607812013-09-09T11:13:37.343-04:002013-09-09T11:13:37.343-04:00Despite me not being a gamer, that was a fun show....Despite me not being a gamer, that was a fun show.

For someone who is not a gamer, I do have a pretty solid history with the DC Mayfair game system. I know Shag is fond of origin stories, so here's mine with this game:

I don't recall what year it was, but I'd say it was 86 or 87. I asked for and received the first edition DC game for Christmas from my parents. I was very excited to open the beautiful box and see all the goodies inside. I was figuring I'd convince two of my comic-loving friends to play with me. We made the attempt, but they became bored and frustrated with the process, and I don't think we got a single adventure off the ground. Since these were my only friends who shared my comic passions, that was pretty much it. So my DC game sat in it's box, and I just had to longingly stare at the pretty books, cards and standees from then on.

I did pick up a lot of the source books (2 editions of Batman, Justice League, Titans, the Atlas and Post-Crisis Superman) and I still have them on my bookshelf to this day. As a lover of things like Who's Who, I found the source books to be a great fount of knowledge on my favorite subject!

So even though I never rolled that funky-sided dice...I still have a lot of love for this game.

ChrisEarth 2 Chrisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35995922.post-25429784346934740632013-09-09T02:43:09.020-04:002013-09-09T02:43:09.020-04:00Haven't listened yet, but hotdog am I excited ...Haven't listened yet, but hotdog am I excited about this podcast existing!
