Kenner Super Powers Catalog Spread - 1984

This was the two-page spread from the 1984 Kenner catalog, promoting their new super-awesome Super Powers line (click the graphic to see a bigger version).

I know I'm biased here, but doesn't Aquaman have the most dynamic stance of all the carefully posed figures? Standing there, with his trident (tied only with Hawkman's mace for Coolest Accessory), he just looks so cool.

    Honestly? Aquaman's too subdued. Flash has the most dynamic pose, while Green Lantern is the best sculpt. The Sea King reigns over the Hawkman's accessories, though.

    YES! i used to have almost all of those!!!

    then one day i was at the beach. i threw Aquaman in to see if he could swim. when he didn't come back, i threw Batman in to save him. when Bruce didn't make it back, i threw Robin in to save him. suffice to say, that's what happened to at least three of the Super Powers figures i owned...
