According to a post over at Ain't It Cool News, Saturday Night Live (which has its season premiere this weekend) has a Michael Phelps-as-Aquaman sketch in the works.
Now, of course, the show has a loose rehearsal on Fridays and a full-on dress rehearsal on Saturdays, so the sketch could still be cut. But it's made it this far...
Thanks for F.O.A.M. member Ilke Hincer for the tip!
Didn't happen but don't give up hope. According to Alex Weprin "Erik Kenward, writing supervisor on SNL, pitched a sketch about layoffs at the Justice League of America. In it, Aquaman (played by Phelps) was laid off. While it didn’t make it to TV last night, Sudeikis said it could make an appearance--with another actor in Phelps’ place--later this season. "
I fell asleep before the episode ended...did it happen?
ReplyDeleteThey did, of course, show a picture of Phelps wearing A SUPERMAN SHIRT!
Jeezus H! I'm getting a little tired of that one ;)

Probably for the best...Pelps' acting ability was, well, let's just say he's an excellent swimmer and leave it at that.
